Zuma Beads ~ Store Closing

beadsI have to admit that I’ve never shopped in Zuma Beads. Still, it saddens me to hear of another independently owned business closing.

zuma-bead-logoYears ago Zuma was located in the heart of the Loop in the building with Racanelli’s Pizza and seemed to have a lot of walk-in traffic.

Now, they are located in a small storefront at North & South and Delmar on the same corner as Dewey’s Pizza. Though Dewey’s has a constant stream of visitors, Zuma is around the corner and tucked out of site and I’m guessing they didn’t get much spillover traffic.

According the STL Today, Zuma is having a liquidation sale:

After 18 years of business, Zuma Bead is closing and everything must go.

You’ll find mirrors, tables, chairs, posters, trays, bins, ziplocks, vintage beads and buttons and much more.

All inventory in the store will be 50 to 80 percent off.  Hurry in while the picking is good.

From now until March 1, all all inventory in the store is available at or below cost.

The Zuma website even states “that no reasonable offer will be refused”.

Thanks so much for this info! I’ll probably make the trek at some point this weekend. While it’s sad to see a store like this close, as you said, it is good for my pocketbook!
